  • New Lives - Nicholas Raymond Madera

I cannot believe it has already been three 1/2 weeks since our little one arrived.  The delivery took two full days and is a long story I won't go into now.  Nicky ended up being delivered via c-section on Wed, April 22nd at 7:54 pm.  He weighed in at 8 lb 1 oz and was 21 1/4 inches tall.  We are very blessed by his arrival and the feelings that it brings out.  His Daddy was my here for the two full days it took him to get here.

Our lives at home have been long and we have had little sleep but in the long run when he looks at us my heart melts.  God gave us a sweet and loving baby to make our lives complete.

He's been a really good baby taking lots of naps and eating but the last few days have been pretty hard.  He has started fussing alot more and will start crying for waht seems like nothing.  We can usually get him quiet again in a little bit but he wants to be held most of the time and not take naps in his crib.  I think part of that was that we changed his formula last week and maybe it took a few days before his little body said he did not like it.  Today I changed him back to the first formula we had tried from the hospital and hopefully that will settle him down.  If any of you lovely mom's out there have any ideas I will be so very thankful to hear them.

I will try and post more pictures as the weeks go by.

  • Waiting

Just a note to say hello...

I am off work now and we are in the waiting stage for our little one to arrive.  I had an ultrasound last week and they are estimating his weight at 7 lbs which means he might arrive early ... or be really big when he arrives (eek).

We will see the doctor again on Friday.

I want to thank everyone that came and participated in my baby shower this past weekend.  I think that we all had a fun time and we received lots of things we will need for our little ones arrival.  Here are some pictures...

  • Baby Update

Hi everyone... I know it's been way to long since I've written.  My family has started putting info on my space and facebook and it's so hard trying to keep up with all of them :)

We are doing fine... I have three more months to go before our little boy is welcomed into the world :)

It's a scary prospect because I know that life as I ever knew it will change forever but I am so grateful and thankful for that change to come.  So from what I hear from others the pains and aches that I have now are just going to get bigger and better during the next three months... swelling hands, knees and feet... heartburn (from day one)... and all the other lovely things to come.  Here are a couple pictures from Christmas.

  • New Beginnings

Hi everyone... I know it's been a while since I've written and Harry and I have been pretty busy with work and of course there is no excuse but oh well...

We have some exciting news... we will be adding to our family this coming April 2009!

It's kinda scary because you know I'm pretty old now!  I try not to think about being 61 when graduation comes around.  We are very excited and nervous but we'll be fine.  I am still feeling good so far but I know that will change soon.

Keep me in your prayers and if you have any words of wisdom please send them along!  I'll post more as time goes by!

We celebrated my Mom's and my birthday Saturday and told Harry's family the news... here are a few pictures.

Harry's Mom was still in shock... she would not let go of her little outfit... it say's "What happens at Grandma's, Stays at Grandma's".

It's so funny... she does not like dogs much but as you can tell my dogs love to go sit by her.  The new cousin brianna was thrilled as well!! she has deemed herself "the babysitter".

  • Yellowstone

We went to Yellowstone for our vacation this year.  It was amazing, perfect weather for three days and snow for the other three.  I'd never been in falling snow before.  I am going to put a few pictures here but if you want to see more pictures you can check out my winkflash site below.

  • Ceago Winery

Ceago Winery is between Lucerne and Nice at the upper portion of Clear Lake.  It is a beautiful mediterranean style villa with a long pier out into the lake.  I am just growing in my appreciation of wines and they have a yummy Muscat Canalli that is a sweet white wine.  (I am not sophisticated to like dry yet).  Here are some pictures.

  • Hi

I am not quite sure how I did that Xanga post?  I got a message from them that said "they missed me" and I answered it yes that I was going to put more posts on.  I did so not too long ago but I guess they put a post on for me!  Thanks for your responses :)

Here are a few pics from our trip to Clear Lake this past weekend.  We went with some friends and had a great time.  The boys went fishing and J and I found a really neat tea shop in Calistoga and revisited a couple wineries.  I found a very yummy wine called Muscat Cannali from the Ceago winery.  There was another winery that had planted tulips and they were beautiful!

And a view to the right.  I love going to Clear Lake... you can get a little bit of the mountains along with the sound of the water and shorelines.

Here are pictures from the Tulip Hill Winery... we did not really care for the wine but the flowers were beautiful.
